INFORMED CONSENT OF CLIENTS

Before the start of your therapy/career counselling/psychometric assessments at Serene Hour. The counsellor will share a consent form with you. Signing the consent form indicates you understand the nature and process of therapy/career counselling / psychometric assessments and agree to give your consent for the same.

It is compulsory for all clients wishing to take therapy/career counselling/psychometric assessments at Serene Hour to provide us with their informed consent in written.

Prior to signing the consent form, if you do not understand the form or need help kindly clarify your doubts with the counsellor.

CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY POLICY

Serene Hour follows a strict confidentiality policy and does not share the client’s private and personal details with any third parties. Therapy is a safe space. Your therapist will not judge your behavior, personal choices or past experiences.

All information shared by the client during the therapy session is kept confidential, with the following exceptions:

  • If the counsellor believes that you are a danger to yourself or others.
  • If the counsellor believes a child or a vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected.
  • If the counsellor is ordered by the court of law to disclose information.

In interest of protecting the rights and privacy of clients. We do not allow spouses, friends and relatives to be present in the cabin during the therapy/career counselling session. Your spouse, friends and family can accompany you and wait at the reception area.

In case, of children below the age of 18 years old. Parents/legal guardians of the child are allowed to be a part of the session at the discretion of the counsellor.

Clients are not allowed to video/audio record their therapy/career counselling sessions and workshops. You may take notes during the session.

Career Counselling/Therapy sessions cannot be taken on behalf of the client by their spouses, friends, and relatives.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESMENTS & OTHER REPORTS

Serene Hour does not disclose the client’s personal information including their psychometric test reports to any third parties without the written consent of the client.

Clients over the age of 18 years, who want their report to be handed over to another person on their behalf. The report will be released by Serene Hour to that person only after a written consent is given by the client. Along with the identity proof of the person who will be collecting the report on their behalf.

Clients below 18 years of age. Their report is handed over only to the parents or legal guardians of the child.

In case, the parents of the child are absent or cannot attend the session and want to send another person on their behalf to collect the report. The report will be released by Serene Hour to that person only after a written consent is given by the parent. Along with an identity proof of the person. Who will be collecting the report on their behalf.

In case, the parents of the child are deceased. The report is handed over only to the child’s legal guardian upon presenting their identity proof.

If an unauthorised person arrives to collect the report. Serene Hour has the rights to withhold the report.

If an unauthorised person refuses to leave the premises, becomes aggressive, uses abusive language or is physically violent towards the staff and is a threat to safety. Serene Hour has the rights to legal action.

Psychometric tests and other reports are unbiased. They are generated based on the inputs given by the client. The counsellor creates reports/career counselling session based on the client’s inherent interests, aptitude, and personality. The counsellor cannot be compelled or bribed into changing their psychometric assessment report towards a particular direction by the client or their friends and family members.

Clients are not allowed to disseminate their psychometric assessments and other reports on the internet/social media/mobile applications in any form (through pictures/texts/voice notes) it is a breach of confidentiality. Subject to legal action by Serene Hour.

RIGHT TO ADMISSION RESERVED

If a client displays obscene behavior towards the therapist or any members of the Serene Hour staff. Serene Hour holds the right to cancel the session and blocklist the client from availing any future sessions. No refund of sessions shall be given. Furthermore, the client is subject to legal action by Serene Hour. Additionally, men are not allowed to be a part of Women’s only workshops.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Use of abusive language on call, text or in person.
  • Physically aggressive/violent behaviour towards the therapist or other members of the staff.
  • Flirting, eve teasing, sexual advances, or gestures towards the therapist or members of the Serene Hour staff on call, text or in person.
