Relationships and Sex Education for Women

Message from Sherene Chaz

Counsellor & Well Being Facilitator

Many women are never given clear space to learn about relationships or intimacy in a way that feels relevant to adult life. Much of what is learned instead comes from cultural conditioning and gender roles that are rarely examined. Relationships and Sex Education at Serene Hour offers a safe, judgement-free space for women who want to consciously build an understanding of healthy relationships, intimacy, and sexual wellbeing.

Support for women learning about safe and healthy relationships and intimacy

Forming healthy relationships and navigating intimacy are skills that are rarely taught. Many women may find themselves without clear, practical guidance on dating, consent, boundaries, emotional safety, or sexual wellbeing. In the absence of reliable education, women are often left to make sense of relationships through trial and error, social media, or the internet. This can leave many feeling misguided or unsure of what healthy connection actually looks like. Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) at Serene Hour offers a safe, respectful, and educational space for women to explore relationships, intimacy, and sexual wellbeing with clarity and confidence.

Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) may be helpful for women who:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Who can benefit from relationships and sex education?

RSE is for women who want a clearer, more grounded understanding of relationships, intimacy, and sexuality, particularly where these topics have felt confusing, underexplored, or difficult to navigate. Many women seek this work to reflect, learn, and make sense of their experiences, rather than to address a specific problem or diagnosis.

No. Conversations are guided by your comfort level and boundaries. You are not required to share personal experiences or discuss topics you are not ready for. The focus is on understanding, clarity, and informed choice, rather than explicit content or disclosure.

A common misconception is that relationships and sex education is only relevant for teenagers, or for women who are inexperienced. In practice, many women seek this work to reflect, learn, and make sense of relationship and intimacy experiences that were never clearly discussed or supported.

Serene Hour does not provide crisis or emergency counselling services. If you are in immediate distress or concerned about your safety, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis support line for immediate assistance.
