You can request an appointment through our online booking page. Before confirming a session, you will be asked to review and complete the informed consent process.


What are the counselling fees?

Payment is generally required before the appointment unless otherwise agreed.


How long is each session?

Most counselling sessions are approximately 50–60 minutes.


How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and circumstances.

Some clients attend short-term counselling for a few sessions, while others continue longer-term support.

Yes. Counselling is confidential except in limited circumstances required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm.


What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the full session fee.


Can I contact my counsellor between sessions?

Communication outside sessions is generally limited to appointment scheduling and administrative matters.

Serene Hour does not provide crisis or emergency support between sessions.


What if I feel uncomfortable during counselling?

Counselling is collaborative and you are encouraged to raise any concerns, questions, or discomfort during the process.


What platform is used for online counselling?

Session links and instructions will be provided before your appointment.


How do online sessions work?

You will receive a secure session link before your appointment along with instructions for joining the online session.

Clients are encouraged to attend from a private and quiet environment with a stable internet connection.


What if technology fails during a session?

If technical difficulties interrupt a session, reasonable attempts will be made to reconnect.

Where appropriate, alternative arrangements may be discussed.


Do you offer in-person counselling?

Please refer to the booking page or contact Serene Hour directly regarding current availability for online or in-person sessions.


Do both partners need to attend couples counselling?

Yes. Couples counselling requires the participation and consent of both partners.


What if my partner stops attending couples counselling?

If one partner decides not to continue, the couples counselling process may conclude or individual counselling options may be discussed.


Is counselling suitable during a mental health crisis?

No. Serene Hour is not a crisis service.
